ExCeL London

    ExCeL London (Exhibition Centre London) is an exhibitions and international convention centre in the London Borough of Newham, England. It is located on a 100-acre (0.40 km2) site on the northern quay of the Royal Victoria Dock in London Docklands, between Canary Wharf and London City Airport. Two light rail stations serve ExCeL London. The main western entrance is directly linked to Custom House for ExCeL station and the eastern entrance is connected to Prince Regent station, which is only a 5-minute walk away from the hotel, both of which are served by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). ExCeL London is located near London City Airport station. Since June 2012, the Emirates Air Line cable car now links ExCeL to The O2 on the Greenwich Peninsula.

London City Airport

    London City Airport is an airport in east London. It is located on a former Docklands site (postcode E16 2PX) in the London Borough of Newham east of the City of London and a few kilometers distance east of Canary Wharf. These are the twin centres of London’s financial industry, which is a major user of the airport. In 2012, London City Airport served over 3 million passengers, a 0.8% increase compared with 2011. It was the fifth busiest airport in terms of passengers and aircraft movements serving the London area after Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton and the 15th busiest in the UK. The O2 Arena

    The O2 Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the centre of a large entertainment complex on the Greenwich Peninsula in London, England. It is named after its main sponsor, the telecommunications company, O2. With a capacity of up to 20,000 depending on the event, it is second-largest arena in the UK and one of the largest in Europe. In 2008, The O2 Arena took the crown of the world’s busiest music arena from the Manchester Arena, a title that it had held since 2001. The closest underground station to the venue is the North Greenwich station on the Jubilee line and is only 20 minutes away from our hotel by using the Emirates Airline cable car.

The Emirates Air Line, Cable Car

  The Emirates Air Line is a cable car link across the River Thames in London. Opened in 2012, the service offers a unique perspective of London’s sky, viewing the O2 and the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf from the air with music and video. A 360* Sightseeing Tour operated by Transport for London. Cabins arrive every 30 seconds and flights usually last ten minutes.

The Crystal

  The Crystal building is home to the world’s largest exhibition on the future of cities. Using solar power and ground source heat pumps to generate its own energy, the building has set a high benchmark for sustainability, being the first building to achieve the highest sustainable building accolades from the world’s two leading accreditation bodies
